Composer, performer and producer, Joshua Douglas Camp, has grown up in the central Virginia area. He received a Bachelor's degree in music from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1992, with a concentration in music composition. While attending VCU he studied under the tutelage of both Alan Bank and Dika Newlin. During his third year, Joshua had the opportunity to attend Middlesex University in London, UK, where he studied electronic music composition under Walter Fabek.
Since graduating, Joshua has been highly active in the artistic community in and around Richmond, Virginia. His various musical projects have included folk, rock, modern music ensembles, avant garde cabaret, as well as collaborations with artists working in film, theatre, sculpture and dance. He currently resides in New York City.
